The fatal accident happened on the A66 near Hofheim: several vehicles collided, a 71-year-old's car caught fire and she died in the vehicle. The culprits seemed to be found quickly: three sports car drivers were accused of organizing an illegal car race and thus causing the accident. Accusations of murder were raised.
