The Pro-Évora Group is the oldest association in the country (1919-2021) working in the protection of cultural heritage. From the active role promoting protection to the awareness of the young generations, the Pro-Évora Group portrays the resilient work of an association rooted in the conviction that a society without history and culture will not be able to understand the challenges it will face in the future. In this journey framed by the streets and places of Évora, Marcial Rodrigues, Nuno Lecoq and Celestino David lead us through the challenges and threats against architectural, landscape and natural heritage values, prompting us to reflect on the intersection of heritage with other dimensions of the city, such as social cohesion and spatial planning.
