After the dramatic events that took place in Duchniki, Piotr Wolnicki awaits trial in a cell. Agnieszka Polkowska has no doubt that she has caught a serial killer, a sociopath who almost took her daughter's life. The testimonies of Jola and her mother will certainly lead to a conviction. Or will they? Wolnicki does not admit guilt. Court experts consider him sane, but the evidence gathered does not seem to be sufficient to deprive him of freedom for many years. Piotr's defense is determined to call his son as a witness. Will the boy decide to lie to protect his father from prison? Unexpectedly, Piotr receives a letter from an acquaintance from years ago. Lila visits him in prison. She brings back memories of the time when they were both in the children's home. It seems that now she is the only person who is sympathetic to him.
