There is a shootout in the district school, as a result of which several students are wounded. One of the students, Denis Pogoreltsev, tells the investigators that his classmate Boris Skvortsov has a pistol at home. However, Bori has an alibi, and soon experts find a hunting rifle on a nearby roof, from which the shots were fired.
