In broad daylight: A man waltzes onto the street, directly in front of a car. The accident victim was a junkie, pumped full of a new drug, the "Wiener Melange". Heldt investigated. The hallucinatory substance first appeared in Austria, but now it's clear that the Viennese drug cooks had sought partners in Germany and found them in Bochum, of all places. The team has only a few days to prevent something worse. Because the gangsters around Oliver Dominic and his henchman Kalle Höfer plan to flood all of Germany with the "poison" from the Ruhr area.
