The front-line brigade of artists has been performing at the forefront for several years. Recently, Shurochka, an actress from the rear theater, joined her ranks. The very first performance in front of the fighters brings success to Shurochka, and not only the audience - Colonel Gromov falls in love with her at first sight. His attention inspires Shurochka, but soon she meets a young intelligence officer, Lieutenant Koltsov. The girl will have to make a difficult choice between two heroes of the war - the brave Cossack Gromov and the Leningrad poet Koltsov.
