When Jim moved to a new house and a new school, he didn't expect to have to cope with turning into a dog too! After getting on the wrong side of the girl next door, Carrie, and with his rather simple cousin Brian as his only confidante, Jim isn't feeling too optimistic. Will his new headteacher Mrs Jessop's stepson be able to offer any advice? And does Carrie hold the key to what's going on?

In return for a spot of sheepdog trialling, Jim-the-dog finds someone who is willing to look after him. Meanwhile, Jim is having trouble with his French teacher.
