Jn the second of the new series (Riverside has performance and interviews With the mysterious San Francisco group The Residents. filmed during their recent Mole Show tour. Studio music is provided by APB from Aberdeen and ex-BAUHAUS ,leader Pete Murphy reveals his plans for the future.

Also an abrasive performance from Erie Bogosian , fresh from his success on the Edinburgh fringe; a selection of this year's College Fashion Diploma Shows, and a review of Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence.

Riverside's special guests this week are Eddie and Sunshine fresh from the successful West End run of their cabaret show. They will be joined in the studio by Mick Karn , Midge Ure and John Foxx. With additional help from Riverside's regular team of presenters Debbi Voller, Mike Andrews and Steve Blacknell and last, but by no means least, performance from Fatima the Fantastic.

Mike Andrews talks to ex-member of Japan Steve Jansen who also shows video footage from his visit to 'the Land of the Rising Sun' where he played with THE YELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRA and ippu DO and met Merry Christmas Mr Law rence star Ryulchl Sakamoto. Nick Heyward joins Steve Black nell's Back chat. Also featuring avantgarde German artist Joseph Beuys and Gerry Anderson , creator of the pioneering TV series Thunderbirds, Fireball XL5 and Stingray, while studio music is provided by HIROS ACADEMY .

On Riverside this week studio music is provided by Paul Haig backed by an interesting new band that includes ex-members of Orange Juice, Gang of Four and The Associates. Mike Andrews visits the Hacienda Club, Manchester for a chat with New Order. There's a film profile of multi-talented musician, composer, producer, video-maker Bill Nelson and comedy from yet another Edinburgh festival success John Sessions of whom the press said 'Mr Sessions is a satirical mimic of the first order and a very fine actor to boot ... he populates a bare stage at dizzying speed and with breathtaking finesse '.

This week an exclusive film interview when Mike Andrews meets innovative electronic music wizard Brian Eno , who originally played with Roxy Music and has collaborated with such names as David Bowie and David Byrne of Talking Heads. Debbi Voller talks to Marilyn, the model whose face and style made his name on the fashion and nightclub circuit as a Monroe lookalike; and Steve Blacknell meets head-on with Stevo, notorious for striking strange record deals and a power behind the Some Bizarre record label.
