India's Deadliest Roads

Sangram Singh, Mandira Bedi and Varun Sharma drive Bharat Benz 1214 trucks, negotiating some of the most dangerous roads in the world in Himachal Pradesh to deliver supplies to remote villages.

Varun’s fear makes him give up the steering wheel to his co-driver Ranjit. However, as soon as they cross Rani Nallah, the road behind them collapses.

Mandira Bedi, Sangram Singh and Varun Sharma continue their journey from Jispa to Sarchu. The distance they have to cover is only 90 kilometers, but these 90 kilometers are fraught with danger. Dehydration, irritation and headaches start to take a toll.

It's day four on the road for Sangram Singh, Mandira Bedi and Varun Sharma. They started their journey from Manali and 220 kilometers into their journey, they have reached the beautiful, but unforgiving grasslands of Sarchu.

The truckers travel from Tsokar to Leh and cross their highest mountain pass till now-- Taglang La. Varun delivers his loads to the monastery and surprises them by donating 1000 packets of Maggi to the monastery.

Sangram, Mandira and Varun start their journey to Pangong, but there is a continuous passage of military vehicles on the route. The fear of heights, plus the nonstop movement of army vehicles causes the truckers to break down emotionally.

Up till now, Chang La has been the toughest and most challenging pass for the truckers. Varun is still stuck in an army convoy, and the narrow roads and sheer drops bring him to tears.

Jeetu and Sangram’s constant arguments result in two accidents on the same day. Meanwhile, Varun who’s had a breakdown in the morning, is coping well thanks to his co-driver Ranjeet's support.

The truckers begin their last leg of the journey and are ready to cross their highest mountain pass at 18,380 feet. Mandira is carrying a precious Buddha idol, and they all try to reach a monastery before sunset for a purification ceremony.
