Holly Haines, a web designer from San Diego, California, puts her Filipino fusion food to the test. She's half-Filipino and half-black and says food really gives her a way to express her love for both cultures. If she wins the $100,000, she'll turn her passion for throwing themed dinners into a full-time pop-up restaurant business.

Troy Glass, a culinary whiz kid from Los Angeles, California, is here to put his skills to the test - and he's only 14 years old! After working in his mom's Italian restaurant for years, Troy's dream is to attend the Culinary Institute of America and become a professional chef. In fact, he plans to use the majority of his winnings to help fund his education. Does this teenage prodigy have what it takes to beat out five pro chefs?

Amber MacDonald, a former NFL cheerleader and now a stay-at-home mom from San Francisco, California puts her family recipes to the test. Amber's inspiration comes from her Sicilian grandma who taught her how to cook. The home chef wants to win the money to give back to her parents who have moved from Missouri to spend time with her two-year-old daughter Ava.

Ryan McKay, a firefighter and father of two from Atlanta, Georgia, believe his firehouse recipes will help him win $100,000 so his wife can open her own flower shop. She gave up everything for him to follow his dream of becoming a firefighter, and he wants to repay the favor.

Alyssia Birnbaum, a stay-at-home mom from Texas, hopes her incredible Southern dishes with an Asian twist are enough to win her $100,000. Alyssia spent most of her childhood in Hawaii, which helped shape her Asian comfort food style. Alyssia and her husband have adopted a baby girl and would love to use the money to adopt more children in need.
