Curse of the Frozen Gold

Deep in the heart of British Columbia’s rugged mountains lies a gold cache rumoured to be worth billions, and guarded by a deadly curse. It’s claimed the lives of countless fortune hunters over the past 100 years. Now, six prospectors are joining forces and combining their skills in the hopes of finally locating the lost gold. With just a few short weeks to contend with the harsh landscape, the elements and the unknown, they forge a plan to solve the mystery once and for all, and finally find the fortune.

The team experiences "Slumach's Curse" first hand as they make their first serious trek into the wilds to solve the legend. Adam and Evan’s bond is tested tackling the rugged terrain of Terrarosa Glacier and a mysterious force that threatened the life of a well-known prospector. While Daryl and Danny head deep into Spindle Canyon, a treacherous rock-strewn gorge – and another promising location of the gold, steeped in supernatural energy. Finally, when members of the team go missing, they must overcome the elements, the wilderness and the danger around ever corner, or their journey may end faster than it’s begun.

Ghosts from the past taunt the team as they try to validate new locations and link a letter from a bygone era to their current search. In a journey that divides their resources and opinions, Adam and Evan take to the perilous glacier country, while Daryl and the others pay a visit to San Francisco’s archives. The team’s camaraderie begins to sour as the more stubborn personalities clash with the rational thinkers of the group, and gold fever begins to take hold as they struggle to solve the mystery but remain divided over the location of Slumach’s gold.

With opinions divided over the Gadsby claim high in the mountains, the team splits up, and Don, Fred and Danny explore the practicality and the costs of mining that spot. Daryl’s friend Greg shares a mysterious map that points to a promising but hazardous location he thinks the team should explore. And a startling discovery throws the team in disarray, exposing hidden fractures as the first real rains of the season set in.

The dwindling season, and a sense of urgency, spurs the team on. Shut out by weather on their last trip, Adam fights for a return to Terrarosa to put the glacier location to rest. A mischievious Daryl’s ready to offer up a new piece of information for this high country…but only if he can go too. And Don, Fred and Danny confront a mysterious prospector claiming to have Slumach’s gold.
