Anash and the Legacy of the Sun-Rock

While Kole is away, Anash takes part in a ritual manhunt and capture, ceremonies fostering peace among Tlingit tribes.

Kole is forced to take the helm of a group of warriors who attack a fort, sending its inhabitants upriver as a warning to those not welcome in Tlingit territory.

While Anash is being held as a Deer Hostage, he has an encounter with the powerful shaman Dukakawu

nash struggles to heal from a curse placed against him by the shaman. Kole returns and is accepted as a Suskan warrior. They continue on their quest.

Anash and Kole encounter the slave-trader Gawsuck and other colourful characters, who offer clues to find the Sun-Rock.

As Anash and Kole continue their quest, they meet powerful enemies at the Russian stockade.

Anash is cast underwater, where he fights Dukakawu and a sea spirit for possession of the Sun-Rock. The boys must prevail before they can fulfill the prophecy that would set in motion the return of peace to the land.
