Milla Monteiro's journey begins in Addis Ababa. She watches the movements of the big, intense and vibrant city. Going from Africa's largest open-air market, skating in Ethiopia and practicing yoga.

Milla takes the road to Harar, east of Ethiopia, “the 4th holy city of Islam” and a world heritage site. Milla is touched by the colors and the narrow streets inside the great wall.

Milla heads towards the south of the country, towards Shashamane: the promised land of the Rastafaris until arriving at the Ras Lumumba house-museum, a typical Rastafarian. Ras tells details of the beliefs surrounding the Rasta movement.

Mila leaves for one of her most awaited moments: entering the Omo Valley region, where most of the Ethiopian tribes live. She visits the Hamer tribe's market, following a ritual called "Bull jumping".

Still in the Omo Valley region, Milla will meet the lovely people of the Dorze tribe. In a day full of smiles, gastronomic experiences and handicrafts, she gets a taste of what it is to live the simple life.

Milla sets out on a journey through the northernmost region of the country and heads for Bahir Dar, the base city for getting to know the Nile River Falls. There she observes the different ways of life of the Ethiopian people.

After passing through a large capital, a Muslim city, tribes, arid regions, forests and waterfalls, Milla arrives at Gondar, a real and historic city, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Lalibela is a city that experiences religiosity in a unique way. Orthodox Christians meet daily to pray. There, there are 11 rock churches, excavated in the rocks, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.

Tigray is a historic province in Ethiopia, well known for its churches excavated in the mountains of Gheralta. Milla climbs the 1,500-meter-high stone walls to attend mass at the Abuna Yemata Church.

Milla was breaking new ground. The next destination of the trip is the Afar (or Danakil) Depression, a region in eastern Ethiopia where three tectonic plates meet.

Milla heads to the Erta Ale volcano, which has continuous volcanic activity, with the intention of sleeping on top of it. She visits Dallol, a place that has tectonic plate movement.
