When a noble richman is mysteriously murdered in the city of Estaón, Captain Baldan von Baldric and Corporal Anthal are set off to solve the case. Fate and dice will have them come across several strangers and old friends, unaware they'll end up sharing both a common cause and enemies.

Following the trail of the otyugh, Captain von Baldric and Anthal, together with the newly formed company, will test their strength as a group within the caves of the dangerous forests of Argos.

With the mystery of the Bleeding Spike in our heroes' mind, von Baldric's retinue travels to the town of Jareth in order to meet with Jason, Nedal's stepfather, and putting an end to the mission entrusted to the elf by the Claws of Steel.
