Nyukhin (Steve Coogan) a brow-beaten husband of a domineering wife, delivers, at her command, a lecture on the harmful effects of smoking tobacco. But as Nyukhin struggles to stick to the intended subject matter of his speech, we learn of his regrets, yearnings...and of his miserable life ‘under the thumb’.
