Heading to Japan by plane, Western art researcher Shuzo Tai (Koji Tamaki) is told by his wife Moeko (Masako Motai), to grab a magazine. Meeting his mistress Yumiko Ichikawa (Chiharu Kawai), they hide in the bathroom but the plane begins to shake, causing Yumiko to hit her head and dies. Tai now has to pretend to be the co-pilot to cover his tracks and ensure his wife doesn't find out about his affair.
