Since so much time had passed, the journalist believed it was useless, but his lawyer friend assured him it was strange that they put so many obstacles in the way of releasing documents from a closed case. This detective was the same one who "investigated" the ambush he himself suffered. This new information raised his alarm, and he called Diana to tell her she was right all along: the Walkers were behind his mother's death. Manuel spoke to Bastián in the clinic hallway because he doesn't want him to continue being his daughter's partner. The problems at work, the fights with Gonzalo, and the recent accident were more than enough for Jessica. If Bastián's affection is sincere, he should leave the journalist so as not to hurt her further.
