Gabriela assures Leonor that she will find a way to overcome the shame of being her granddaughter and be happy with Tomás. Joaquín and Lucía decide to adopt Simón to form the family they always wanted. Gabriela and Tomás decide not to let Leonor's hatred get in the way of their happiness again. Vera tries to poison Gabriela so that Tomás will be as unhappy as she is. Tomás and Gabriela visit Leonor in prison so she can meet her great-granddaughter, Beatriz Jiménez.
