A couple and their 15-year-old daughter are killed in their suburban home. The three victims were executed with knives and a strange cabalistic sign was painted on the living room wall with their blood. Romain, the eldest son, who was out that evening, escaped the massacre and discovered the tragedy the next day. Nadia and Rovère think of a ritual crime like those previously committed in England. After turning to an anthropology professor specializing in occult and transgressive rites, suspicion falls on a group of students, fans of black masses and neo-Nazi rock. Nadia and Rovère will clash violently, especially since a Scotland Yard cop, working on the two crimes and called by Jagot as reinforcement, will sow discord between the judge and the non-conformist police officer.
