In Cambridge, Mass., the Southern comfort joint servin' up all kinds of twists on the classics, like the confit pork belly corn dog. In Fall River, Mass., the Polish joint specializing in all kinds of pierogi, from cabbage and pork to mac and cheese. And in Providence, the cornucopia of Federal Hill begins at an old school spot that's passing out meatballs and fries, and the new school restaurant crankin' out totally fresh linguine and clams.
