Celia confronts Elena about the latter shooting Joaquin during his political campaign that almost killed him, afraid her name might get involved. Elena breaks down in tears while she admits to Esperanza what Joaquin did to her in the past, before marrying Delfin. Esperanza and Anton receive a letter from Alice, wanting to meet her in a barn.
