Back home, Lucía focuses on her mother's writings and discovers a hidden map linking Lucrecia to other beguinages in Europe. The investigation keeps her away from Telmo's attempts to tell her the truth about his marriage to Juana. Until Telmo puts an end to the deception by being honest with his fiancée: it's another woman he loves. Juana overcomes her grief and intercedes to foster the couple's reconciliation. A ray of hope in a gloomy beguinage marked by Lasarte's exorcism of Simón, which ends the child's life.
