With Telmo's help, Lucía meets a hired thug who failed to kill Lucrecia and commits suicide shortly afterward, raising suspicions about the Avellanedas. Munio's pressure causes the Beguinage to lose supporters. Guilty, Lucía helps sell her wedding dress. A gesture that puts her at odds with Rodrigo and jeopardizes her stay at the Beguinage.
