Garpur and his companions, Jónas and Andri Már, went on an expedition to Svarfaðadalur to climb Kerlingareld. Kerlingareld is a wall in the middle of a mountain called Kerling that towers over the valley. The wall is 200 meters high and not many climbers have climbed it. Jökull Bergmann led the first expedition in 1997 and only 12 groups of climbers have reached the top since.
