Esperanza bids a tearful farewell to her family. Joaquin discovers Cecille's escape and luckily captures her, Esperanza, and Anton. Delfin asks the mayor about his son's whereabouts but gets disappointed with Joaquin's answer. By nightfall, the trio tries to escape the drunk goons of the mayor.
