A German tourist was robbed and run-over with the getaway car while her young son looked on from their rental vehicle. Detectives had merely the account of the young son, who spoke only German, to aid them until evidence from another robbery provided the break they needed to arrest the suspects. Despite taped confessions, the two suspects insisted on their day in court. The defense contended the confessions were coerced, but the jury found otherwise
