On the occasion of Deepavali, Prithvi Vallabh invites Mrinal and the people of Manyakhet to Deepotsav. Prithvi is sure that Mrinal will not reject his invitation. When Mrinal finally arrives to the Deepotsav, Prithvi unveils a gift for Mrinal and proclaims his love for her, which leaves her enraged. Prithvi is captured and confined.
