The 1991 MTV VMAs, hosted by Arsenio Hall at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. Performances by Paula Abdul, who performed a medley of her hits; EMF, who performed "Unbelievable"; Mariah Carey with "Emotions";Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, who performed acoustic Bon Jovi songs; and Prince and The New Power Generation, who performed "Gett Off". Other performers included Queensrÿche, Don Henley, and the fictional band Spinal Tap.
