Dan-oh is rescued from a serious threat by Yoo-ha, much to San's disappointment for not being the one to save her. Despite this, the danger still hovers over Dan-oh, and palace officials keep a close watch on her to uncover clues about Lee Seol and the watchman. Upon San's return from the state exam, Dan-oh urges him to honor his earlier promises and be completely open about himself.
