António gets out of prison and decides to change his life. Matilde and Lourenço live the childhood of their son Vicente with all the affection and love, although things are not totally well with the couple. Somewhere in Spain, Simão makes a spiritual retreat seeking to redeem himself from his sins in intense training to control his inner monster. Far from imagining all of this is Salomé, a blind young woman who lives in Convento das Carmelitas Peludas and who is Madalena Bourbon de Linhaça's best kept secret.
