A castaway on board! A bottle-post had caused chief spokesman Spilett and young Harbert to sail under the nautical guidance of Pencroff to a neighboring island and rescue this man. In the long time of his loneliness he has forgotten the human condition. In the huge storm in which they have come, even a fur seal like Pencroff believes himself in the midst of hell. Suddenly they discover a beacon, which shows them the way to the island. Suddenly a pirate ship appears on the horizon.
