In place of the regular army, private military companies (PMC) and modern mercenaries grow in prominence. When Cerberus Security Services's new recruit, Loewner, does his best to protect civilians during a terrorist raid at an oil terminal in the Middle East, he is confronted with the callous reasoning of a mercenary.
