Alona is a widowed struggling screenwriter with three kids, just shy of 50, and is slowly discovering that her 50s are in fact the teenage years of old age. Her teenaged kids look down on her, her demented father drives her crazy and she's tired of counting the time that has passed since she last had sex by the year.
