The sumptuous beauty of Berlioz’s song-cycle Les nuits d’été is set against the craggy drama of Strauss’s monumental An Alpine Symphony. The National Youth Orchestra of the USA is joined by Sir Antonio Pappano and mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato.
