General rehearsal day at the Montpellier Opera. François Durieux, first violin of the philharmonic orchestra, is found stabbed with a luthier knife. This talented and lonely young man did not seem to have more passion than music and his Armanello, a prestigious violin of the eighteenth century. A passion supported by his mother and Pascal, his luthier and mentor. The suspicions fall on the second violin of the orchestra and main rival of François.
