Deep underground, in complete darkness, Omar Shem Tov – a 22-year-old young man who was kidnapped on October 7th from the Nova festival, survives 505 days in Hamas captivity. Without light, without time, without knowing if anyone is looking for him, he clings to sanity in any way he can. Thus, within a dark system of tunnels, he finds language, connections, and faith- he finds a way to create a complex relationship with his captors. The episode takes place entirely in a underground world, and reaches its climax at the moment of liberation – in daylight, on the ground on the day he returned home.
