Preet gives out introductions about the whole family. Bade Papa throws a party to announce Sid as the new Chairman of the company when Sid reveals that he wants to be a comedian instead. All hell breaks loose which Ishan and Preet try to control.

Camaraderie ensues in the house as Neeti arrives with her 2 kids! Ishan is upset that Trisha convinced Sid to reveal his plans to be a comedian. Neeti thinks that her husband is cheating on her and rushes with Preet to confront him. Ishan is getting calls from a private number. Meanwhile, Bade Papa has held another party to announce the new Vice President of the company.

Neeti comes home after her second honeymoon only to realize that her secret is out! Trisha is angry at Ishan for sneakily grabbing the VP post. The Hooda family sends the children with Ishan and Preet on a holiday getaway to their farmhouse. Ishan is secretly meeting someone there and Sid accidentally walks in.

Suspicious, Sid warns both of them and everyone comes there. Ishan introduces her as the wedding planner. Everyone gets busy with the preparations of a wedding as Bade Papa and Mummy's anniversary gift. The girls and boys hold separate bachelor and bachelorette parties.

As the elder couple's 40th anniversary celebrations continue, Ishan and Preet make a visit to the jeweller's. On route, some goon/terrorist attacks them on gun point and a fight ensues.The family worries when they are unable to reach either of them on the phone.

We learn that Kavya is not Preet's biological child but her natural maternal instincts helped Ishan manage Kavya when he first brought her home. There is lots of camaraderie over the sangeet but Preet is suspicious that Bhabhjeet is the terrorist on the run.

Biji is drunk at the sangeet and everyone is dancing. Ishan and Preet share a romantic moment while performing. Babhjeet's real identity is revealed. The haldi ceremony ensues and during the wedding, Bade papa announces that he would finish the wedding if Trisha and Deepak get married within a week.

Everyone learns about Bilal's identity and Mr. Hooda is shocked to learn that he is in love with Trisha. Preet tries to bridge the differences and show that love is bigger than religious differences. but Mr. Hooda ends up insulting her. The girls of the house side with Preet while the boys side with Mr. Hooda, including Ishan.

Mrs. Hooda tries to convince Mr. Hooda about Bilal. He takes Preet to Bilal's house to discuss marriage! An engagement ensues while Ishan sneaks out to Sana's house. Sid notices this and follows him. He tells Preet about this.

Sana reminds Ishan about his real identity. Ishan tells Sana about his chlidhood trauma and his secret. We learn about how Ishan became a part of the Hooda family. Ishan has begun falling for Preet, a proud Indian national. Later, a defence personnel comes to hand Mr. Hooda top confidential file.

Ishan is looking for the military file while the whole family discusses Trisha and Bilal's wedding. Ishan finds the file in the safe but Bade Papa leaves with the keys and gives them to Preet. However, Preet loses the keys and everyone begins to look for them. Ishan finds the keys.

Ishan has a romantic moment and later on, he manages to steal the file from the safe. In the morning, the defense personnel show up demanding the file back but it is nowhere to be found and neither is Preet. Preet comes home and hands the file over. Preet accompanies Sid to file a police complaint against the terrorist who had attacked Ishan and her.

At Sana's place, the terrorist comes and informs Ishan that he needs to wrap up the mission in a year. Ishan remembers his love for Preet and the Hooda family. The terrorist reveals the real reason behind Rizwan's parents' death. Ishan finally learns of the truth behind how Preet ended up in the Hooda house.

Ishan returns from Sana's house in shock and informs Preet that he is an ISI agent, Rizwan, from the neighboring country. But Preet asks him not to joke about it this way. All the women of the house celebrate karwa chauth. Mrs. Hooda finds out that Ishan and Preet haven't consummated their marriage. The wives then break their fasts in the evening with Ishan helping Preet get into her sari as well.

The ladies break their fasts and Preet asks Ishan to find his name in her mehendi. He jokes about all the letters he finds there. Trisha wants to go to Rahmat Ali Khan's concert but Preet and Ishan forbid her. However, Kuku convinces Preet to go to the concert because there are chances of the terrorist being present there, along with Rizwan who is a master at disguises. She spots Atif, the terrorist and runs into Ishan, shocked that he is present there. There is a bomb blast in the auditorium.

Ishan protects Preet from the bomb blast and carries her to the car. She is hopeful that their romance shall begin now. He scolds Preet and Kuku. Preet is advised bed rest and Ishan begins to take care of her. Biji brings a marriage proposal for Sid.

Simran flirts with Ishan. Meanwhile, Kuku finds the terrorist and follows him around, hoping to catch Rizwan. Kuku reaches the factory and is caught. Ishan saves him.

Neeti is selected for soap's role. Atif informs Ishan that he can go back home on January 26th. Preet gets down to sorting the fight between Trisha and Bilal. Ishan and Preet get locked in the store room. While they are waiting, Preet enquires about Kavya's biological mother.

Kuku returns home relieved to Neeti and tells her how much he loves her. Trisha plans on paying a visit to her in-laws for dinner and Bilal's elder daughter, Shabbo, is not impressed. Preet and Ishan romance a little. Trisha is unable to make it to dinner and a fight ensues between Bilal and her.

Preet tells Ishan that she wants to consummate their marriage but Ishan tells her he is not ready for it. Preet finds pictures of Ishan's first wife in the closet and thinks he is still in love with her. Trisha takes Bilal's family out to lunch over the success of bagging a contract.

Preet secretly cooks Ishan's favourite dishes and sends them upstairs to the bedroom so the two can have a romantic dinner together. Ishan's first wife, Meghna's sister and her family lands up in the Hooda mansion. Meghna's parents want to spend some time with their grandchild.

Naina, Meghna's little sister, reminds Ishan about Meghna and wants to know more about her. She keeps comparing her to Preet, making Sid furious. Jai Shergill, a RAW agent, meets with Mr. Hooda. Bilal's family also arrive for the Diwali celebration while Ishan suspects that Shergill has some idea about the Republic day plan. Preet finds Meghna's letters in the closet and cries.

Everyone is busy with card games. Sid screams at Naina and she leaves. Sid, Preet and Ishan come looking for her. Preet and Ishan walk home. Sid tries to give Naina a gift.

Mrs. Hooda comes to talk about Meghna with Preet but she assures her she is okay. Jai Shergill has a party that the Hooda family has been invited to. Ishan gets jealous when Shergill seems to know Preet so well and spends time with her. Ishan taunts her at home and fights with her. Ishan feels guilty.

Ishan feels guilty but Preet is still mad at him. Even at breakfast, their animosity is evident. Sana asks Ishan to spend time with Preet since he hasn't got much left. Kuku hands over the footage and other . material to Shergill.

Biji talks to Sid and Naina about their wedding. Biji asks Preet to convince Sid for the wedding. Shergill comes to Preet and warns her to stay safe since Rizwan may be around and might try to harm her.

Ishan feels scared that Preet will hate him after knowing the truth. Preet realizes that she is in love with Ishan. Ishan has a nightmare about Preet finding out the truth. The next morning, Sid lets everyone know that he does not want to marry so soon.

Sid and Naina's engagement begins. However, Naina's parents bring up their concerns about Sid being able to take care of their daughter and whether Preet will be able to give the same amount of love to Kavya after she has her own children. Mr. Hooda gets furious and asks to cancel the engagement.

Naina prepares to leave the house when Sid realizes that he loves her too. The families rejoice and marriage is discussed.They plan on holding an engagement that evening and Preet advises Sid to clear out their pasts with Naina.

Ishan sorts out the altercations. Sid breaks the engagement. Preet brings the shagun ki thali so that Ishan and her can have their own engagement ceremony. Since Ishan has nothing to give her, he gives her a taweez given to her by his mother. Shergill meets with Preet to show her an approximate sketch of Rizwan.

Shergill informs Preet about Atif and Rizwan. Meanwhile, Sid and Naina's engagement is planned again. When Preet cannot find Naina in her room, she starts looking for her everywhere only to see her talking to Bilal.

Preet is still suspicious about Bilal and Naina. To check, Ishan gets their phones and wonder why they have each other's numbers. He gets scolded for creating unnecessary drama. Preet later apologises to Ishan when Shergill interrupts to talk to Preet about Atif. Ishan warns Atif to be careful.

Preet is shocked to see Bilal and Naina hugging each other and slaps them both. She warns them to tell their significant others about their relationship. They reveal their truth to her. Ishan apologizes to everyone. Shergill decides to tap Ishan's phone. Meanwhile, Ishan plans on trying ot get Atif out of Delhi safely the next morning.

Ishan and Shergill are at a cat and mouse chase until Preet calls him home to tell him she was right about their affair. However, Bilal tells Ishan and Trisha that she is wrongly alleging him and Naina. Naina also breaks her engagement with Sid.

Preet tries to justify the video and calls it manipulated. However, no one believes her anymore and Ishan asks her to apologise to Naina. She refuses and Ishan goes to console her. Shergill follows Ishan as he leaves to tend to Atif while Preet apologizes to everyone and is forgiven.

Ishan realizes that Shergill is tracking his car. He leaves in an auto. Meanwhile, Preet, Naina and Neeti have gone shopping at Chandni Chowk and Preet thinks she saw Ishan at a window..

Shergill breaks open into the hiding but realizes that they escaped from the backdoor. Ishan sees Preet still in Chandni Chowk and wraps a blanket over himself to escape. Shergill shoots him in the leg but he still escapes. Atif treats his wound.

As everyone is worried, Ishan walks in perfectly normal. When Shergill questions him, he says he was busy planning a surprise for his family. Ishan carries Kavya back to bed after tending to his wound but there is blood everywhere..

Ishan asks Kavya to keep the wound a secret. Ishan goes to meet Atif. He tries to get some food for Atif.

Ishan goes to the store room to keep the gifts and Trisha insists on accompanying him. Shergill comes to return Ishan's watch to him.

Preet and Naina execute their plan but get caught by Ishan and Kuku. Ishan warns her that she is risking their relationship if she carries on. Shergill "accidentally" kicks Ishan's leg to see if there is a wound.

Shergill invites Preet and Ishan to dance as he watches his leg angrily wondering how Ishan could not show signs of pain. On the other hand, Neeti convinces Trisha to come down to the store room to watch the drama between Naina and Bilal unfold.

Ishan and Kuku scold their respective wives. Ishan insults Shergill and Shergill reveals his findings to everyone.

Shergill comes out with every allegation and Ishan clears the air. Shergill sends officers to check the Hooda mansion for Atif. Everyone comes to Ishan's defence, including Preet and Shergill has to leave embarrassed.

Shergill is caught for hiding a terrorist. Ishan decides to skip office. Naina gets a call from Bilal saying he is going to confess the truth to her. Naina panics and decides to meet him. Preet decides to follow her.

Ishan apologizes to Preet for not believing her earlier. He confronts Naina only to realize that she knows his secret and threatens him to support her.

Trisha decides to support Bilal's startup. Ishan tries to hide Naina's truth and is repenting the confusion inside him. Preet insists that he save Sid and Trisha's lives.

Ishan tells Naina that he should come to the farmhouse to collect the papers. Meanwhile, Trisha invests in Bilal's startup. Preet and Ishan fight.

Ishan nurses Preet's ankle but Neeti knows that she is acting. Naina tells Bilal to be happy around Trisha. Ishan lets Sana know that Naina will be finished today.

Naina is exposed by Ishan.

The Hooda family throws out Naina and her family. Preet is confused about why Ishan didn't let Bilal tell Trisha the truth. Preet asks Ishan if he really is Ishan.

Ishan lies and says he has to go to Panchameshwar. Sana tells him that Baba is coming to complete the mission. Shergill calls Preet to tell her she can accompany her to see whether Ishan has gone to meet Baba or not.

Trisha learns that there is no exit clause in her agreement with Bilal. Preet goes to Panchameshwar to give Ishan his wallet. She fights with Shergill there and goes to Ishan's room to give him his wallet.

Ishan and Preet share some friendly moments and light confrontations.The family discusses Trisha and Bilal's partnership. Sana convinces Ishan to mix sleeping pills in Preet's food but Shergill warns Preet about it.

Ishan consumes all the food to prevent Preet from doubting him. He lands up in the OT and escapes somehow.

Preet is worried at the hospital but Sana and Ishan manage to escape and meet Baba. Baba tells Sana about the secret alternate bombing and bloodshed plan. She worries for Rizwan. Shergill scolds Preet that Ishan escaped.

Preet and Shergill check the OT to see Ishan lying there. He fights with her accusing her of spying on him with Shergill because she likes him. Preet comes to the room to complain about how he never made her feel like a wife. They consummate their marriage and Preet wakes up blushing only to hear Ishan regret the previous night.

Preet sees that Ishan's car met with an accident and runs to see if he is okay.

Preet tries for reconciliation with Ishan but in vain.

Ishan and Preet continue fighting. Ishan goes and sleeps in the balcony because he wants to Preet to distance herself from him. Mrs. Hooda interferes and Ishan scolds Preet for being desperate.

Ishan leaves to meet Baba regarding the plan and Shergill warns Preet about it. Preet informs Ishan about Kavya's parent-teacher meeting at school and tells him that they both have to go.

Ishan and Preet win the competitions with coordinated efforts. Trisha is working hard with Bilal. The whole family eagerly leaves the house, giving some alone time to Ishan and Preet on their wedding anniversary but Ishan doesn't even wish her. Instead, he scolds her for talking angrily on the phone.

Preet receives a bouquet from someone and thinks Ishan did remember their anniversary. Trisha takes care of Bilal's mother like her own. Ishan gifts Preet divorce papers and she slaps him. Ishan takes a half-day at work because he feels sick.

Trisha suspects that something is wrong with Shabbo. Sid gets suspicious of some faulty deals that Ishan made. Ishan is having a nightmare. Trisha finds out what's wrong with Shabbo and sets out to fix it. Ishan meets Baba to discuss the final plan for January 26th.

Everyone attends the pooja at Hooda mansion. Trisha sends divorce papers to Shabeena's husband. Ishan meets Baba who plans to kidnap the minister's daughter but ends up kidnappign Kavya as well. Preet, worried decides to call the police but Preet promises that he will bring her back safely.

Ishan saves Kavya and brings her home safely. Preet thanks him but he brushes her off, rubbing onto her how Meghna will be his only love. He sneaks out in the middle of the night to see Baba and decides to be the suicide bomber.

Preet finds out that she is pregnant and wants to rush to Ishan to tell him. She sees Ishan's car and then is shocked seeing him read the namaz. Slowly, the puzzles sorts itself in her head and she cries profusely to Shergill about the truth.

The whole family is rejoicing the news of Preet's pregnancy. But Preet is tensed over Ishan's secret. Ishan goes to her to ask about the good news but she refuses to tell him.

Preet does not tell Ishan about the pregnancy. Ishan celebrates with the family as though it is his last day and Preet silently watches on.

There is lots of camaraderie in the house. Ishan tells Kavya to take care of her mother. Preet is still angry at Ishan. She informs Shergill about his plan and feels sorry for her unborn child. She has a nightmare about killing Ishan.

Ishan leaves. Preet informs Shergill. Preet also lets Mr. Hooda know about Ishan's real idenity.

Mr. Hooda suffers from a massive heart attack. Everyone in the family is shocked. Preet joins Shergill in an effort to stop Rizwan. Preet tries to convince him to abort the plan while Sana reaches there with more terrorists.

Sana stops the terrorists from shooting Preet. Instead, she reveals all about Ishan's childhood trauma and Baba's plan. Preet goes and tells Ishan the truth about his childhood and her pregnancy. She wants him to stop but explosion is the only way. They decide to die together. A grown up Kavya narrates this story at her boo launch conference and praises her parents' love saying they must finally be together in heaven.
