Maria Rita, a young shepherd from Serra da Estrela, sees a suspicious man, David, hovering over her grandfather's house and, to defend the territory, fires a shot of air pressure at him. The boy is actually a young lawyer, who reveals that he is there in the name of his father, Henrique, but the young woman rejects what she hears, convinced that her parents died in Germany.
