During Pau's funeral, Leonel accuses the Palacios family of burning down his house. When Alba, Covadonga, and Camilo are present at the funeral, the landowner confronts them. In the midst of an argument, right at Pau's funeral, Leonel demands justice for his family. Faced with Covadonga's threats, he demands the arrest of the entire Palacios family. After being arrested with her grandmother and Camilo for burning down Leonel's property, Alba's innocence is proven. Upon her release, she promises her brother that she will not abandon him. Certain that Alba's family caused the tragedy that devastated his family, Leonel wants to take his revenge to the extreme. To everyone's surprise, the landowner proposes marriage to prove that neither she, nor her brother, nor her grandmother are guilty.
