Ji Hyun was born in 1996, in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul (Apgujeong-dong is considered one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in South Korea, with the housing price in Apgujeong-dong being around $28,300 per square meter). Ji Hyun attended Korea National University of Arts, acting or art department, she has a twin brother named Han Seung-soo who works as a model. Before her admission, she was known to have passed the university entrance exams for the acting department at other universities such as Konkuk University, Dongguk University, Seoul Institute of the Arts, Sungkyunkwan University, Sejong University, and Chung-Ang University.
