Canadian-born performer Barbara Kelly married Bernard Braden at 17 and moved with him to London in 1949. They were an immediate hit on BBC Radio shows such as Breakfast With Braden, and later Bedtime With Braden. She became a household name as the glamorous panelist on the BBC’s version of What’s My Line?, in which she starred from 1953 to 1963, and again when it was revived 20 years later.
