Sofie's biggest wish is for her mother and father to get back together, as on December 1st she gets a gyro that she has to finish for her inventor grandfather. If Sofie gets the invention working, it could become a time machine, and while she's working on the gyro, she's approached by Dixie, the new boy in class who seems to know everything about Sofie. Everything that he can't possibly know.
