Charity is in no mood for Declan when he criticises her absence from the launch, but it's only later that she confesses the reason for her short temper to Debbie - she is pregnant. However, she swears her daughter to secrecy, claiming she is going to have a termination at the first opportunity. Eric and Val are full of angst in the run-up to their dinner with Ian, although once the wine starts flowing a tipsy Val says a little more than she should, embarrassing the other guests. Marlon is hit with emotion when he visits April, although Rhona remains suspicious of Donna's true intentions, and Bernice has a business proposal for Declan
