July 21, 1942. Life is organized somehow at school. Judith Morhange, back from Paris, joined the group of Jews in "transit" and became its spokesperson. Daniel Larcher fights to recover food while Jules Bériot, the director of the school, is forced by the French gendarmerie to empty the cellars where he secretly prints leaflets with his group of resistance fighters. Meanwhile, Marchetti and his men arrest foreign Jews living in Villeneuve.
