An international conference in Amsterdam descends into chaos and violence, followed by a violent hostage situation, when heavily armed men storm the building. Hundreds of attendees are locked inside, the demands are harsh and personal. Nigel leads the operation but loses control. Joëlle chooses a dangerous route, while Mardik becomes the explicit target of the hostages. He realizes that the hostage situation is no mere incident—it is the beginning of a plan that proves much larger and deadlier than anticipated.
