Hakudoshi plots with Kagura and Goryomaru to bring down Naraku. However, Naraku is already aware of their betrayal through Kanna's Mirror. As part of the deal with Hakudoshi, Kagura is supposed to get the Sacred Jewel shard out of Kohaku's back, but Kagura is moved by Kohaku's search for revenge and allows him to escape. Seeing that Kagura has betrayed him as well, Hakudoshi tries to kill her but she is saved by InuYasha. As Hakudoshi fights InuYasha, the poison insects come to his rescue. However, Naraku abandons him and Hakudoshi is sucked in by Miroku's Wind Tunnel.
