José Luis cannot find Leonor and threatens Manuel with a gun so that he reveals where she is. Juan Cristóbal asks Teresita to talk about her illness and despite the fact that she is completely devastated, he explains to her that if she does not receive treatment soon, it could get worse. The boss returns to the farm and discovers his wife in the room. She lies to him and he explains that they will never be separated again. On the other hand, Juan Cristóbal warns José Luis that Teresita's illness could kill her, but he assures that if that is God's will, it will have to happen, generating disappointment in the doctor. The doctor does not give up and promises his wife that together they will get through this difficult moment, no matter what they have to do. Finally, Luis Emilio tells his father that there is no more gold in the river and he asks for patience, because religion will save them.
