Edgar makes all the necessary arrangements and spends a fortune on the concert he invited Laura to, but the young woman doesn't show up and he is left hanging, a humiliation that unleashes his anger. In the midst of his depression, Edgar has to listen to his colleagues call him "outdoor ragman" and make other mockeries, all the while assuring them that no one has the right to see his face as a clown and that he doesn't want to hear anything about the Dominguez sisters again.
