Masha’s friend Gutya takes part in the private investigation and teaches Masha how to build loyalty with Shedov or at least Petrov. Paulina allows Masha to work with her own version regarding the Buffet case, and Masha is sure that he was after a certain statue in the jewelry shop. She gets acquainted with an art history professor from Czechoslovakia and he helps Masha to find a needful information about the statues.
