Doraemon shows Noby a hat-like gadget that harnesses a person's anger to cook popcorn. Doraemon, Noby and friends embark on a quest to find the person whose anger makes the best popcorn, culminating in a showdown between Doraemon and Mr. Rumpleton, the neighborhood checkers champion.
